MUST be US Citizen. This a Contract-to-Hire position.
Translates detailed functional designs into technical solutions. Supports testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product. Helps prepare both program-level, release and user-level documentation. IBM Datastage PX, Unix and Oracle skills with data warehouse knowledge a must.
Skill requirements:
Performing Data Analysis and medium to complex Data Mapping
Understanding of Healthcare Data knowledge in the core areas of Claims, Eligibility, Customer, and Providers
Analyzing functional specifications and assist in designing potential technical solutions
Writes technical specifications for modules to be developed and updates certain release documentation as necessary to reflect any technical modifications made during the coding and testing process
Presenting the technical designs to the project team and seek approval on the designs
Performing impact analysis for systems/database modifications
Providing accurate and timely estimates to the Technical Lead/Project Manager
Prepares unit test, integration test, and performance test plan documents. Performs unit test, integration test, and performance test per the approved test plan, documents test results, and escalates issues to the Technical Leader.
Designs and develops software modules which adhere to published standards for coding and design to solve business problems as outlined in the functional specifications.
Balancing the needs of delivery with adherence to architectural standards
Supports other departments within IS as well as users during functional, UAT, regression, and performance testing of systems
Looking for opportunities for the process improvements and recommend feasible implementation options.
Providing input into creating and refining development processes and standards
Research and correct production issues encountered during and after implementation that are found in systems
Collaborating with business and IT partners isolate production issues as required
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience / Education:
Demonstrates good understanding of Healthcare business data and related experience.
Good hands-on coding experience using: Datastage, Oracle 9i/10g, Toad, Data warehousing concepts, UNIX file systems; Unix shell scripting; Maestro scheduling.
Experience with high-volume load processing into Data warehouse databases.
Technical proficiency in application development including systems design experience, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Works well with peers and management from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to comply with software development life cycle methodology and related change control disciplines in completion of assigned tasks.
