Senior Chemist - Fragrance

Title: Senior Chemist - Fragrance Location: NY-Suffern We are seeking a Senior Chemist to join our Fragrance group. The successful candidate works well with minimum supervision in developing new and revised products for the Fragrance/Personal Care Categories. Will explore and pursue innovation to integrate into new products. The candidate experiments with raw materials, processing techniques and formulations in creative, non-conventional approaches. Must be able to research and report on technical subjects. Must be able to manage multiple projects and be a diligent problem solver.  The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of a BS or BA in chemistry or equivalent science and 5 years of formulation experience in related field. Must have an awareness of all applicable regulations. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team/matrix dynamic. Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be flexible and work well under pressure. Ability to use sound judgement in handling unanticipated situations. Entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to conceptualize and apply innovative solutions. Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative. Strong knowledge of the competitive cosmetic environment is required. Good attendance, safety and performance record in current position.
