Infant and Toddler Teacher Division :KinderCare Location :Bowie MD US 20716 Job Type :Full Time Career Level :Student (Undergraduate/Graduate) Education :Associate Degree Category :Teacher, Corporate Education and Training, Education/Training Job Description : Job Summary Successful candidate will plan and implement activities to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. Responsible for the care, Hygiene, learning and development activities, specialized programs, and sanctioned discipline of the children. Maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness. Experience and Education Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and or/CDA required 50 hour Infant and Toddler Certification as approved by the State of Maryland Required 2+ years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 24 months 3+ years of early childhood education experience desired CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Bilingual (Spanish and English) highly desired Excellent organizational skills required Ability to provide a positive, nurturing environment for children required Clean driving record and ability to drive Center vehicles desired Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours a must Ability to provide superior customer service required Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in the Center environment. The incumbent must be able to lift 40 pounds, stand up to 95% of the day, assume posture in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children, bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day, stoop, sit, on the floor, have the agility to move from seated position to standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations, perform all activities with children, i.e. jump, dance, walk, run, etc. for extended periods of time. Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor the environment and childrens well being. Work is also performed at community sites for field trips. Adaptability Requirements HIGH- Position requires a high degree of adaptability. Incumbent will be faced with a variety of issues on a day to day basis and be engaged in multiple tasks and is to respond quickly and appropriately to frequently changing needs of children.
