Key Characteristics:
· Provide SAP Basis expertise to drive the successful completion of AmeriGas’ Project Foundation and ongoing post-project support
· Proven track record in SAP Basis administration supporting the latest SAP technology in order to deliver robust and high performing end-to-end system architecture while adhering to SAP best practices and SOX controls
· The demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in an open team-based environment with consultants, business users, and information technology professionals at various levels within the organization
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Contribute to and execute the detailed work plan as it relates to SAP Basis administration and in accordance with overall project plan
· Design, implement, test and support all SAP systems required to realize the end-to-end SAP solution
· Provide SAP Basis Administration for all SAP environments (SAP ECC 6.0, BI 7.0, PI 7.1, Solution Manager) and for all instances (DEV, QAS, PRD, TRN)
· Provide technical administration for SAP web application environment as it relates to Biller Direct 6.0, Internet Sales 5.0, and NWDI
· Coordinate with the Infrastructure team to ensure the timely installation and delivery of hardware and software required for the successful completion of the project
· Define procedures for client/system refreshes and execute as necessary
· Develop, implement, document, and test Disaster Recovery Procedures for SAP systems
· Develop, implement, and oversee SAP backup and recovery procedures
· Provide ongoing administration and support for SAP systems which includes application of SAP patches and OSS notes, performance tuning, system monitoring
· Provide support for the SAP transport system
· Collaborate and coordinate with IT Infrastructure & Operations Team to provide seamless system and network support of SAP solution
· Comply with any established level of service and support on SAP systems to ensure minimal system downtime and impact to end users.
· Create and maintain production standard operation procedures (SOPs)
· Provide technical leadership in resolution of development related issues focusing on root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
· Prepare regular activity status reports to supervisor of work completed or pending, identification of any issues which need resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· In-depth technical knowledge of the full range SAP technologies especially SAP Netweaver environments.
· The ability to deliver quality results by properly prioritizing multiple work streams in a fast-paced project environment
· The ability to work hands-on while the technical skills, expertise and experience of other project team members
· Solid project management skills and team oriented interpersonal skills
· Ability to make quick and informed decisions based on proper risk/reward analysis
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or IT field.
· 4 years experience SAP Basis administration
· 3 years experience in administering SAP Netweaver solutions and integration technologies.
· Experience with at least 1 full SAP Implementation project life cycle experience with solid demonstrated expertise in managing implementation projects of SAP technologies
· Experience with full implementation, configuration, administration of SAP Solution manager to manage the entire SAP production landscape
· Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0, Netweaver 7.x, BI 7.x, XI/PI Platform 7.x , Biller Direct 6.0, Internet Sales 5.0, and NWDI, SAP Java (J2EE) support
· Experience in Oracle Database Administration & experience
· Basic ABAP and SAP interfaces - with IDOC, BAPI, ALE, EDI, RFC
· Experience with database administration of Oracle databases within an SAP environment
· Experience administering SAP system in a SOX controlled environment
