NEED SOMEONE ENTHUSIASTIC, ENERGETIC, AND CONFIDENT! Seeking a desktop support specialist to be responsible for all daily operational support for the desktop infrastructure.
Experience working in an Enterprise environment desired.
Demonstrated experience with HP equipment: laptops, PCs, printers and peripherals with the proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve all levels of hardware issues
Expertise with the Microsoft XP and Vista operations systems, Microsoft Suites 2003 and 2007
Experience using deployment, installation and packaging tools such as SMS, SCCM and Altiris
Proven functional knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience using remote desktop and remote tools such as Computer Management and SCCM.
Experience with virtual desktop a plus.
Strong experience configuring profiles, file and folder permissions and user provisioning
Strong knowledge or networking protocols
Experience with virtual desktop a plus.
Experience with executive support a must.
Further, the Desktop Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and tracking of all desktop and laptop hardware including peripherals. The Desktop Engineer will develop and maintain standard system configuration for all desktops and laptops using an automated OS installation; participates in rollout of same.
Requirements 5 to 7 years prior experience of desktop infrastructure operations, preferably in a global organization including desktop and laptop hardware and software support and installation.
Minimum 5 years relevant information technology experience/desktop support.
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
A+ certification required
