Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will participate in development, testing, support, implementation, distribution and maintenance of Web interface software for the maritime industry. This intermediate level position requires extensive knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, XML, Web Services and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is essential although Microsoft SQL Server 2008 would be a plus. Specific job assignments will include support of Help Desk personnel supporting the production system software as well as responsibility for implementation of system software upgrades. Writing system procedures for production support as well as system documentation will be required.
Job Requirements/Education:
Candidate should have a minimum of a BS or BA in Computer Science or an associated discipline plus the equivalent of five years experience in software support. Two years experience with AJAX technology and Javascript is mandatory, preferably with "ASP.net.ajax" framework. Additional knowledge of Microsoft Visual C++, MFC, MS SQL Server, Crystal Reports, VB and COM concepts preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with interpersonal skills are required.
