Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor

Position Description
George Weston Bakeries is now part of Bimbo Bakeries USA.  We are a 4 billion dollar fresh baked goods company with such brands as Arnold, Thomas, Entenmanns, Tia Rosa, Bimbo, Freihofers, Stroehmann, Marinela, Boboli, Mrs. Bairds and more. Currently we are looking for a position in our Bay Shore NY Bakery.
BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE:
Supervise all activities and functions associated with the Shipping/Warehouse function for the Bay Shore Bakery.  Shift responsibility for safety, product accountability, labor and management of designed process flows.  
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead with behaviors that encourage teamwork and achieve outstanding customer service efforts.
Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to effectively and efficiently execute the activities necessary for the distribution of product.
Plan, schedule, and supervise all Shipping/Warehouse operation to ensure that all transports are loaded in a manner prescribed by company standards and are available at the proper time to ensure on-time delivery in a damage-free condition.
Coordinate with Transportation and manage dispatch functions to ensure effective communication of requirements and utilization of all transports, especially with respect to daily dynamic changes/variances between plan and actual available product quantities.
Interfaces daily with production satisfy order fill requirements for respective depots/distribution centers.
Ensure accuracy, accountability, and timeliness of the receiving, shipping, and order selection process.
Manage long code inventory operation to ensure proper product rotation and no out of code waste along with coordination with the Materials Manager to ensure proper inventory levels to meet Sales requirements.
Position Requirements
Three years direct Warehousing experience, High School Diploma/GED
