We need people with at least two years of focused experience working in software development who know how to drive projects to conclusion and take ownership of the process. We enjoy collegial relationships within our own team and with the many players on other contractor teams and in our clients organization. We are building next-generation systems that make a difference to our clients and better serve the American public. To be successful here you need to be able to picture solutions, communicate clearly, and listen effectively. A sense of urgency and an overriding ambition that the client succeeds are essential character traits.

Responsibilities: As a Business Analyst you will: *  Develop and maintain user and software requirements in a formal, managed environment *  Direct and/or participate in and document requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders *  Translate requirements into detailed narratives, specifications, flowcharts, and testable statements resulting in formal customer requirement and system design documents *  Develop and maintain requirements matrices  *  Serve as coordinator, expeditor, and liaison with testers, developers, customers and other staff and users during all phases of software development to ensure timely results *  Independently lead small projects and teams

Qualifications: *  At least 2 years proven experience as a business analyst on software development projects *  Experience in the complete SDLC from project inception through operational support *  Bachelors degree; computer-related field preferred *  Experience with large-scale databases, SQL, and Web-based applications; preferably in JAVA, Unix and Sybase environments *  Advanced skills with MS Office tools including Visio or equivalent *  Detail-oriented, goal driven, and self-managing personality needed *  Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are a must *  Experience with CMMI is a plus *  Experience in the Federal Government environment also helpful This position is located in a Metro-accessible DC location.
