Interested applicants should contact Job Conard at 215-546-5960, fax 215-732-7450 or via email at joe.conard@genesishcc.com Liberty Court Center, located in Center City, is a 195-bed (150 Skilled Nursing beds/45 Assisted Living beds) nursing facility which is seeking a motivated individual to supervise laundry operations at the Center. The selected candidate will be an advocate for the patient/resident and a team player. It is expected that the selected candidate will fairly and consistently enforce the Genesis Human Resources policies and procedures, pay practices, and collective bargaining agreements. Two to five years of experience in Laundry and Housekeeping operations is essential. POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Supervisor performs supervisory work in managing the housekeeping and laundry department staff. This position requires supervisory abilities, along with extensive knowledge of institutional housekeeping operations, including supplies ordering, cleaning procedures, and equipment operation. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Manages the Housekeeping Department to ensure the provision of a clean and safe environment for customers, visitors and staff; 2. Develops and assigns work schedules for personnel in the housekeeping and laundry departments; 3. Orders supplies necessary to effectively and efficiently perform housekeeping ad laundry functions; 4. Recruits, selects and orients housekeeping and laundry staff; 5. Inspects the center on a regular basis to determine the effectiveness of the housekeeping function; 6. Ensures that the building is maintained in an odor free and clean condition; 7. Takes immediate action on any observed deficiencies; 8. Maintains all necessary records; 9. Reviews and evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel as well as counsels/disciplines assigned personnel according to the established company personnel policy; 10. Completes time cards and prepares departmental payroll according to the payroll cycles of the center; 11. Ensures that all equipment is maintained in proper working condition; 12. Ensures compliance with all center policies and procedures and government regulations; 13. Assists in performing housekeeping duties as needed; 14. Performs other duties as requested. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. High school degree or equivalent is required, along with management and/or supervisory skills training and experience. 2.
