We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Data Architect to join our team of IT professionals. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing the enterprise data warehouse and developing the architecture for all data warehousing components, including data movement and aggregation, ETL, information delivery, and data quality. This position will work directly with the business stakeholders and development team in order to transform the requirements vision into working design.

Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and processing * Develop strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and data archival * Design ETL code to extract, cleanse, aggregate, and load data into the data warehouse * Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications: *  5+ years experience with enterprise-wide system architecture and data modeling * Experience with Sybase ASE, Oracle (9i, 10g) * Experience with SOA technologies and best practices * Experience with data migration planning and large-scale data conversion * Experience with ETL and data modeling tools * Geodatabase design experience a plus * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline This position is located in a Metro-accessible DC location.
