High Level C#/.Net Developer/Architect
Looking for a Sr Developer to lead our Operations Information Systems Development Team. As a team lead for this internal business intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to lead a small team, while remaining involved in hands-on development and design on a day to day basis. You will have many exciting and challenging projects across a breadth of business domains. The Team's systems are often highly visible to management and directly impact the firm as some of the systems are Decision Support Systems that can help the company generate revenue and others are operational systems that help the company save revenue. Essential Functions Provide direction on and actively participate in design and development activities
Ensure the successful execution of team projects, operational activities, and responsibilities
Ensure the agile, responsive delivery of team services to the enterprise
Arrange work packages and project scheduling to accommodate dynamic priorities
Identify and leverage team member strengths and help team members improve their skills
Oversee and approve vacation, support, and other staff schedules
Participate in staff evaluations and individual development plans
Participate in team development, including hiring and retention decisions Required/Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of seven (7) years working in a team-based software development organization, experience should include hands on development using .NET or Oracle/PL-SQL. Appropriate experience can be a substitute for education.
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and a drive to deliver outstanding solutions
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills required
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Excellent collaboration and coordination skills required
Able to develop and maintain program, project, and product plans
Understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration and SOA
Experience applying a variety of technologies to solve complex business problems
Ability to bridge communications among technical staff and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to become fluent in the business domain
Experience leading small Development teams is preferred
Familiarity with Agile programming practices, MSF and RUP is preferred
