Title: Chemical Threats Intelligence Analyst Location: District of Columbia-Washington Key Role: Produce tailored, all-source finished intelligence assessments pertaining to Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs), chemical agents and terrorist capabilities to employ them for dissemination to the intelligence community, senior policy makers, agency components, federal, state, and local government agencies, and the private sector. Apply knowledge of TICs, chemical agents, terrorist capabilities, and intelligence analytical tradecraft to conduct technical and other types of analysis of terrorist groups and their abilities to field devices containing chemicals for an attack upon the US and to enable identification, prevention, or mitigation of these risks. Initiate, plan, organize, evaluate, and prepare these assessments independently, in collaboration with counterpart analysts, or in collaboration with intelligence and law enforcement community partners. This position is located in Washington, DC. Basic Qualifications: -5 years of experience with working in the US intelligence community, national laboratories, or with chemical warfare-related issues -Experience with analyzing and assessing terrorist WMD capabilities -Experience with information sharing practices across partners in the intelligence community -Ability to read, interpret, and assess scientific and technical information -TS/SCI clearance required -MA or MS degree Additional Qualifications: -Ability to effectively work in a team environment -Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate products tailored to specific audiences -Ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts and technical information to non-scientific or national policy audiences -TS/SCI clearance with polygraph a plus -MA or MS degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or another technical field preferred; PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or another technical field plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
