As aField Property Claims Specialist, you will: .    Assess policy coverage .    Analyze, investigate and adjust moderately complex personal lines homeowner claims within assigned authority limits .    Use your strong verbal communication skills to educate our insured, and work with independent adjustors, contractors, or cause and origin experts  .    Use your strong written and computer skills to assess property damages by properly scoping and estimating utilizing Xactimate software applications, including Sketch. .    Determine and document subrogation potential. .    Evaluate claims for potential fraud and work with the SIU Unit as appropriate .    Participate in catastrophe duty as needed Are you experienced in handling property claims? If you are ready to let your excellent interpersonal and customer service skills move you forward in a great career, then we would like to speak with you! .    Knowledge of insurance coverage and prior work experience in construction or handling homeowner's claims (scoping losses and completing estimates) is preferred. .    Bachelors degree preferred, continuing insurance education desired. .    Excellent verbal and written communication skills .    Superior customer service skills. .    Working experience with personal computers, including intermediate proficiency in MS Office and strong typing skills. .    Experience with Xactimate estimating software or similar software is highly preferred. .    Detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a fast paced multiple-priority environment. .    Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. .    Hold a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle. .    Physical requirements: Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch and climb (including climbing on roofs) to ensure full damage assessment on-site.

This is a telecommuter position where you will work from home and be provided with a company car. The territory includes the Baltimore, MD area. You must reside within this territory or be able to relocate to this area.
