Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Develops Statements of Work (SOW), Independent Government Estimates (IGE), and project procedures, to ensure on-time delivery, within Project budget. * Assists in the development of drawings involving: architectural layouts, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, schematic/drawings and design development. * Produces and reads AutoCAD drawings. Use plotter and color printer to produce accurate scaled drawings and maps depicting real property and landscape. * Utilizes Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM/DMLSS) System to retrieve, track and document work performance. * Prepares appropriate documentation for assigned segments or total portions of the overall plan. * Recommends design changes to correct reported deficiencies or to meet installation requirements. * Coordinates with engineering personnel, Safety Office, Garrison Environmental Office, Army Public Works and outside contractors in carrying out formal contracts, in matters of civil, structural, electrical or related engineering phases of work. * Inspects all classes of work with respect to specifications and to user requirements. * Monitors construction schedules and actual work to determine project progress. * Coordinates design with Contractors, shops supervisors, engineering branches and others. * Reviews and interprets all local, Federal and Department of Army regulations, in designing the projects Critical Path. Job Requirements : * Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture with four years direct experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 5 years experience as a CAD Operator. * Hands-on experience with infrastructure repair and construction in a laboratory or national museum environment. * Experience in preparation of work statements, estimates, scheduling and construction QA for Federal procurement. * Familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, scheduling and estimating software. Work may be performed within Biosafety Level-3 laboratories. An initial assessment of health status is required and evaluated annually thereafter.US Citizenship is required.
