The Data Architect will work with the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (JCREW) MPS program. Design, implement, and support database architecture. Implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware, Data Distribution Service (DDS), or other technologies. Establish structure for data elements and components. Examine multiple data sources and consolidates into an intelligent structure. Required to understand normalization and understand when it is appropriate to de-normalize data to utilize other reporting structures. Experience with data warehouses and other reporting structures as well as being able to discern which structures are appropriate given requirements. Supervise, support, and provide guidance to other personnel and team members. Requires to have a BS in IT or Mathematics with 5 years experience or 10 years experience in lieu of a degree. The ideal Data Architect candidate will be familiar with DoD Net-Centric Information Sharing policy, procedures, concepts, and practices such as: DDMS, UCore, C2 Core, WTI C-IED (Family of lexicons), and MCEB Pub 8. Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle is preferred. Applicants selected for this position will require background screening and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
