Manager - Business Development Department:HQ Office:    HQ Location:  Washington, DC Description CSSI Inc., a Prime Contractor to the FAA, DoD and NASA is in search of a strong Business Development Manager to work with our existing BD Department and help us grow in current as well as new areas. Title:  Business Development Manager Required Qualifications: * B.S. or B.A. required, preference in Business, Engineering, Information              Technology * Strong background with at least one of the following: Defense, Aerospace or Environmental Government sectors. * Strong track record in participating in major winning proposal efforts (Value $2M - $10M) * At least three years experience in the field of Business Development, specifically Government Contracting * A history of briefing senior government officials in a clear, articulate manner Preferred Skills: * Superior communication skills * Must be able to clearly present ideas to senior management, line management and customers * Understanding of acquisition regulations, FAR regulations and the military budget process * Skills in developing customer call plan development and execution, new business identification, qualification and capture, bid review presentations and teaming agreement negotiations * Secret Clearance (at a minimum) Position Summary: Key Responsibilities – * Work with Business Development Director and Operational Directors in identifying, qualifying and capturing business in new markets. * Develop relationships with customers in new markets, determine technical needs and build the business case for how CSSI can help the customer, winning new work and facilitating the Company’s entrance into new markets * Track targets in corporate web-based system, following corporate business acquisition process, develop opportunity reviews, assist with blue, pink, red and gold team reviews  * Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, managing multiple opportunities and priorities * Understanding the competitive landscape in new markets * Ability to meet the company’s target goals and growth objectives About CSSI    CSSI, Inc. is a technical and engineering services company headquartered located near L’Enfant Plaza in Washington, DC, with additional offices along the Eastern Seaboard.
