Title: Sr. Financial Analyst - Finance Leadership Development Program (2 of 2) Location: New Jersey-Franklin Lakes This position is a unique Finance developmental opportunity consisting of four distinct rotational assignments spread over a three year timeframe. This rotation is designed to provide an understanding and knowledge base as a Senior Finance Associate in a variety of Finance roles on BDs Franklin Lakes, NJ business campus. The objective of this program is to identify, hire, train, develop and promote, successful candidates to Accounting/Finance Management position within BD. Successful candidates, by program end, will have been exposed to and developed the following skills: - Technical accounting and finance knowledge and application under BD Finance policies - Business/Strategic perspective within BD - Exposure to BDs domestic and international operations - Knowledge of BDs customers and go-to-market strategies ROTATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The rotational opportunities are customizeable and will be tailored to fit the developmental needs of the individual program participant and may vary in duration and order of assignement. They include: Rotation 1: Senior Financial Analyst - 12 months within the Corporate Controllers Department reporting to the Director of the North American Financial Service Center. Rotation 2: Senior Financial Analyst -- 12 months within one of the Franklin Lakes based business units, i.e. Medical Surgical, Diabetes Care, Pre-Analytical, or Pharmaceutical Systems reporting to an Assistant Controller. Rotation 3: Senior Financial Analyst -- 6 months in the Franklin Lakes Business Process Group reporting to the Finance Manager. Rotation 4: Senior Financial Internal Auditor -- 6 months in the Franklin Lakes Internal Audit Department reporting to the Financial Audit Manager. Qualified candidates will have the following skillset: * B.S. degree in Accounting / Finance is required. CPA, MBA a plus. * A minimum of three to five years experience in a accounting/finance environment in a manufacturing company with some exposure to general accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis. "Big Four" public accounting experience a plus. * Experience and expertise with various computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes, with exposure to SAP and Hyperion. * Good understanding of accounting theory and financial evaluation techniques. * Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of management including locations outside the U.S. * Able to work independently but also as part of a team with excellent problem solving skills. * Must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges.
