No Date Posted 09/25/2009 Closing Date (Things you should know about closing dates) 12/21/2009 Position Description Inspect all shippable material at various stages of the Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) manufacturing process, including Incoming Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and Product Acceptance Testing. Perform inspection of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Assemblies to IPC 610 and J-Std-013. Inspect mechanical assemblies, components, and cable and harness assemblies for compliance with DRT drawings and specifications. Perform Product Acceptance Testing in accordance with DRT procedures. Record and report results of all inspections and testing performed. Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Purchasing to disposition discrepant material. Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Production personnel to resolve issues raised through inspections. Candidate will be familiar with standard rework practices. Have the ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, and review test data and an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications. Have familiarity with basic QA tools (calipers, pin gauges, scales). Candidate will have the ability to understand and work to QA specifications and must be detail oriented. Typical Education/Experience AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information 2-4 years of experience in the quality field or a related area preferred. Digital Receiver Technology (DRT), based in Germantown, Maryland, designs and manufactures high performance receivers and transceivers for the wireless test, SIGINT, and law enforcement markets.
