Job Descriptions: BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Write, review, and revise test questions. Assist in developing and assembling tests or pools of questions to meet specifications. Work independently and as part of a team. Test Creation Research for and write items in area of assigned responsibility. Critically review items written by colleagues and outside item writers. Assist in managing item pools for a project or program. Assist in making assignments to outside item writers and monitor the completion of their work according to schedule and specifications. Use test assembly software to assist in the assembly of tests or pools of items. Collect and update information on test development procedures, test specifications, and educational practices and trends. Assist in preparing test-related materials for publications such as descriptive or instructional brochures. Assist in preparing reports on issues related to a testing program. Assist in conducting research. Required Experience: EDUCATION Bachelors Degree is required. A degree or concentration in the areas of Information Technology or Business Information Systems with a background in instructional technology or educational technology is desirable. EXPERIENCE Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Classroom experience is desirable.
