Linux Admin

Heavy hands-on experience building and managing multiple Linux systems in a mission-critical production environment
Must have VMWare experience
• Experience with a web hosting environment and Apache
• Experience building and managing Windows-based servers and workstations, and supporting Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
• Willingness to provide end-user support
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining virtual servers using VMWare
• Database experience, such as Postgres or MySQL
• Experience building and managing a robust monitoring infrastructure utilizing Nagios, Cacti, and other tools
• Experience with developing and utilizing scripting tools on multiple platforms
• Solid basic understanding of TCP/IP and relevant protocols, such as HTTP, SMTP, etc.
• A desire to implement and knowledge of best practices
• Ability to install equipment in racks and other locations.
• Flexibility to work nonstandard hours when necessary
