Marketing Communications Specialist - Urology Location: Parsippany, NJ Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Benefits: Medical Coverage, Dental Coverage, Prescription Drug Coverage, Fertility Drug Benefit, Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Insurance, Short Term Disability Insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance, Health Care Flexible Spending, Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Employee Assistance Program, 401(K) Program, Vacation Program, Personal days, Holidays, Employment Type: Full Time Department: Ortho/Uro Marketing Description: SUMMARY: Plans, creates, and executes marketing, advertising and sales promotion tactics to drive marketing strategies and sales objectives for urology brands (Firmagon, Nocdurna & Prosed DS). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Proposes, implements and executes tactical programs in support of brand marketing plans. Ensures strong pullthrough and ROI of those tactics. Evaluates and modifies as appropriate. Provides updates and direction to the sales force on tactical-related initiatives. Maintains regular contact with sales force to monitor marketing and promotional efforts including working in the field, attending sales meetings and medical conventions etc. Manages sales force promotional materials ordering system (vendor, online ordering system, representative contact, etc.) Manages marketing budget for Firmagon, Nocdurna & Prosed DS: ? Ensures the annual budget has less than a 3% variance to budget ? Ensures all financial policies are adhered to when engaging vendors in work (e.g. contract process, purchase orders, etc.) ? Timely management and regular communication of invoices, commitments, and remaining to invoice ? Stays in close contact with internal (e.g. finance) and external (e.g. vendors) parties to ensure budget is accurate ? Prepares monthly budget update of marketing expenses Maintains contacts with vendors to ensure work is completed on-time and on-budget Drives promotional materials to approval through the review process (Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Marketing): ? Maintain integration of various functions to properly deliver marketing materials in a timely, ethical, and compliant process. ? Ensure that all changes are implemented on these pieces after regulatory, legal and medical comments. ? Ensure approvals for all promotion are filed appropriately. Assists product managers with managing details of exhibit booths and related conference/convention activities. Continuously identify opportunities for business process and/or expense efficiencies; partner with management and colleagues to assess and implement recommendations in a timely and effective manner. Act as program manager on core team meetings, including development of meeting agendas, timelines, and distribution of meeting minutes and follow-up items. Assist product director and product managers with additional sales and marketing related activities QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related area is required. Experience: Prior experience in pharmaceuticals preferred. Prior experience in marketing, promotions or sales preferred. Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Working Knowledge of: MS office and experience tracking information within a database (Excel).
