Cyber Embedded Engineer Job ID: GCSD09091108 Cyber Embedded Engineer - Annapolis Junction, MD - GCSD09091108 Description: Cyber Embedded Engineer Job ID: GCSD09091108 Job Description: * Performs software engineering-related activities focused on Windows-based embedded technologies. * Provides expert judgment and analysis that contributes to the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems specific to unique customers Cyber, Information Operations, and Intelligence needs. * Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research based upon analytical and operational experiences, education, and technical background. * Recommends alternatives to component development and system design to improve the overall architecture and quality of Harris’ products and services Qualifications: * BSEE, BSCS with a minimum of 5 years experience, or equivalent experience * Proficient in porting existing reference code to other platforms, and developing test case procedures to measure code efficiency, system functionality and performance, and ensure the product meets requirements and design specification * Experience in designing, modifying, developing, implementing, testing, and analyzing compatible operating systems software drivers and programming applications * A minimum of 3 years experience in the following: * Systems architecture, and fluent in: Assembler and/or C/C++, MS-Windows (XP, 2000, NT, 95, 3.1), MS-DOS operating systems, and Intel x86 platforms * Analyzing and resolving problems associated with Windows Operating Systems; reviews, analyzes, develops, installs, and modifies computer operating systems at the kernel level Preferred Additional Skills: * BIOS knowledgeable. * Systems architecture, and fluent in: UNIX (Solaris, Linux, etc) and MIPS, and Sun ULTRA/SPARC platforms * Analyzing and resolving problems associated with Unix Operating Systems; reviews, analyzes, develops, installs, and modifies computer operating systems at the kernel level * Must be flexible, adaptable, and work easily with other people in a collaborative team environment. * Able to deal effectively with abstract and uncertainty associated with the dynamics of DoD/IC Cyber operations. * Analytical knowledge of intelligence, Information Operations, military and/or SIGINT operational missions This position requires the candidate to already possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with full-scope polygraph and to maintain the clearance.
