Job Responsibilities: Corporate headquarters position in Drug Distribution and Inventory Control Department within the Finance organization providing strategic input and analysis on inventory levels while supporting our multiple pharmaceutical distribution centers. ? Research product availability issues to minimize impact on our clients and patients. Utilize existing tools to proactively source product with potential availability issues to insure an uninterrupted supply of medication. Run the weekly conference call with all areas of Medco on current status of all availability issues for drugs with greater than 50 Rxs per week. Measure and report back order data to management. Make decisions on course of action that account for patients best interest as well as Medcos financial goals ? Manage all pharmacy transfers to insure proper accounting. Work directly with Pharmacy Operations to resolve all quantity and pricing discrepancies. Utilize aging reports to identify potential risk. Contact pharmacies to insure all transfers closed in 10 days. Reconcile any pricing discrepancies. Measure and minimize freight costs associated with transfers ? Assume responsibility for volume shifts (Router Changes) between our dispensing pharmacies by adjusting the perpetual system ordering logic and generating transfers as required. Attend weekly call to schedule changes. Represent our department for cost analysis and vendor/manufacturer updates. ? Assume process for identifying excess inventory. Create appropriate transfer to maximize usage and minimize returns. Conduct all financial analysis of risk and reporting findings for Month End Reserve. ? Work in concert with other Medco Departments such as Pharmaceutical Contracting, Drug File Maintenance, Pharmacy Inventory Control Departments and Inventory Accounting. Attend daily manufacturer change conference calls. Once knowledgeable with the process, become the back up as needed. ? Review daily wholesaler (AmerisourceBergen) orders adjustments and usage requests. Analyze and provide updates and support for order quantities. Review case size analysis to optimize ordering. Align manufacturer with appropriate discounted vendor on Rumba. Review run days to balance receipts. Revise ordering to account for holidays ? Fiscal Month End close responsibilities. Assume month end reporting on various adjustment documents, transfers and vendor returns. Qualifications: Requirements: Candidate required to have a bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with 1-2 years experience in Financial Analysis or Procurement preferred. Solid computer skills in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of database query processes such as Access/Brio and Inventory mainframe system a plus. ? The candidate should be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy in end results ? Excellent follow up skills and ability to meet deadlines ? Have proven written and verbal communication skills ? Be well organized, career minded, highly motivated and self directed. ? Have the ability to work independently with minimal direction producing positive results ? Have the ability to streamline and improve processes while eliminating nonconformance and minimizing duplication effort. ? Be results oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management and to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
