Unix/Linux and WebLogic Technical skills / experience:
Five plus years experience with UNIX, Linux, and WebLogic
Experience with WebLogic (8-10) administration
Sound understanding of basic networking concepts, IP addresses
Strong systems programming skills with shell scripting
Familiar with building/installing open-source applications
Experience with maintaining Apache, Cron jobs, Tomcat, LDAP
Preferred Pluses:
Experience with RedHat Enterprise 4/5 platform
Experience with Solaris 8-10 platform
Experience supporting scientific applications
Working knowledge of LDAP administration
Experience with hardware for UNIX Systems (card installation, component break/fix process)
Key Technologies: OS (Solaris 8/10), Server products (Weblogic, Tom cat, LDAP), networking tools (TCP/IP), storage (Veritas Foundation Suite, Unix shell scripts)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact and communicate with a diverse scientific and technological user community
Proven ability to work on small teams in a fast paced envir onment
