Manager Sourcing Chemicals

Title: Manager Sourcing Chemicals Location: NY-New City Will develop and implement leading edge sourcing strategies and processes that meet overall corporate objectives of service, quality, innovation, and achieving the lowest total delivered costs through Supply Chain Integration.

Key Responsibilities .    Manage $100- 160 MM portfolio of Chemicals and / or Fragrances to support Avons Global Beauty Business ( Color Cosmetics, Personal Care, Skin Care, Wellness, Mark, and be Coming) .    Develop and implement strategies to support Global Avon & North American Sourcing, Supply chain and meet business objectives, as well as revise as business conditions warrant .    Develop Raw Ingredient Commodity Strategies in-line with marketing objectives that supports Concept to Market needs and improved service flexibility .    Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers in support of Business Transformation goals (e.g., cost savings, lead-time reduction, increased inventory turns, improved processes) .    Develop measurements and KPIs to track continuous improvement opportunities/initiatives .    Track and measure financial cost savings for assigned raw ingredient components based on purchase variation and rebates, as well as track cost avoidance, contributions to other markets, currency fluctuations and their impact, and savings cannibalization .    Lead cross functional efforts to influence focus and activities that supports Avons operating agenda .    Lead, manage and influence projects to successful completion

.    BS degree in a Science discipline, Chemistry preferred, or related business discipline. MBA desirable .    7-10 years experience sourcing raw ingredients (chemicals, fragrances) in a global organization .    Experience in the following areas: Supplier Performance, Category Sourcing, Spend Analysis, Cost Reduction Strategies, and Lowest Cost  Country Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing Metrology desirable . .    Experience using systems and software applications in support of sound business recommendations and decision making
