Based in Maryland the HR Supervisor supports the HR Manager in communication and implementation of Bombardier transportation policies and programs. Covering the manpower planning/recruitment, employee/ labor relations, organizational development, succession planning, recruitment, compensation/benefit administration, and performance management which are in support of company strategic business objectives while ensuring that the company is in compliance with Federal, State and Local legislation. Responsibilities for this position are: * Reviews and coordinates the company employment, employee/labor relations, personnel, and equal opportunity policies and practices to comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws, including the maintenance of necessary files, etc. * Coordinates with the local HR Advisor the communication and coordination of Performance Management Process to insure that employee performance is evaluated, that employees aware of their performance, development needs required to effectively support organizational objectives. * Oversee employment activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hires for company positions. Maintains Drug and Alcohol Program, pre-employment and post offer testing. Oversee all ISO audit, insures compliance to Bombardier Transportation HR Manual and site policies/FRA regulations. * Ensures the development and implementation of training programs which support company business objectives, this includes new-orientation; communication programs, employee survey, and career counseling are conducted efficiently throughout the sites. Insures that training programs are recorded and employee's are certified within their respective occupations. * Train, guide, assist management members in all department to work towards the common goal and assists General Manager in guiding operation to divisional goals. * Manages the Workers Compensation program, related legal issues, coordinates and guide Health and Safety programs; * Coordinates with HR Advisor and prepares reports for customer, corporate office and various government agencies; * Supports all sites on special projects, replaces HR Advisor while on vacation or authorized leave. Assist Manager/Director on special assignments such as mobilization projects or site openings Successful candidates must: * Possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources * Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a supervisory role in Human Resources * Possess a strong experience with Labor relations * Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint , SAP/Kronos would be a plus.
