Microsoft Application Development Manager
Play a key role in realizing our organizational vision as our new .NET Application Development Manager. Applicant will bring a deep base of technical and business knowledge to multiple development and enhancement projects utilizing current service orientated architectures. The Application Development Manager should have demonstrable application and software engineering experience creating distributed applications using .NET. Leading the design and development efforts, setting and enforcing company standards, providing work estimates, and performing architecture reviews.
In this mission critical role you will oversee a team of offshore developers and testers, and routinely interface with business and technology stakeholders across our company.
This is not a Functional Project/Program Management position. This a Technical Project Management position with hands on experience with Microsoft .Net Technologies.
Qualifications / Skillset:
- A deep understanding of Application Development best-practices, software development life cycle, etc.
- More than 5-6 years of experience in Managing development teams using Microsoft platform such as BizTalk server, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, IIS, and MS Office automation
- Extensive experience in developing applications using .Net Platform with C#, ASP, ASP.NET, ADO, WinForms, VB, VBA, VB Script and Javascript. Knowledge of WCF is a plus.
- Experience developing Rich Internet Applications using Adobe Flash/Flex/AIR, Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Presentation Foundation a plus.
- Posssess working knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, XSD and DTDs, XSL and XPath.
- Strong working knowledge of SOA and related technologies: Web Services, SOAP, REST, WSDL
- Extensive experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server and Oracle
- Object Oriented Design and development experience
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing a plus
- Experience with Citrix a plus
- - Knowledge of Agile development methodology a plus
- Must possess top notch communication skills, the drive to motivate the team, with the ability to multi task, and deliver quality results.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and offshore vendor.
- Experience in developing authoring and editing systems a huge plus
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Industry certification (MCSD, MSCE, MCSA, MCA) is highly desired. Other Microsoft certifications are desirable and preferred
