Job ID: 107573 Location: US-NJ-Newark Posted Date: 10/16/2009 Apply for This Position * Apply for this position online * E-mail this position to a friend Position Details Overview: AUDIBLE JOB POSTING Title: Production Coordinator Location: Newark, New Jersey Level: 6 Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 Audible (www.audible.com) is the Internets leading provider of spoken audio entertainment, information, and educational programming. Key Accountabilities: . Receive scripts that are to be produced in-house. Prepare them for recording, which involves enlarging and/or printing at least 2 copies of either scripts/PDFs or books that are provided by publishers. Oversee interns who assist with script set-up. . Schedule all talent for recording and pick-up sessions in 6 studios. Generally deal with most talent issues (i.e. credit requests, scheduling issues, etc). . Work with Executive Producers to schedule engineers if necessary. Update schedule multiple times daily. . Daily, weekly, monthly advance tracking/scheduling of on-going production, from pre-production, through recording. . Maintain production/post-production logs to schedule VO artists, engineers. . Work closely with Executive Producers to coordinate the daily shifting flow of production, with our in-house and external teams (engineers, editors, mixers). . Track titles daily and weekly against budgets; locate cost overage/underage constantly in all phases of content creation and production, and suggest changes to each production accordingly. . Implement weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting structure that tracks the metrics of the Content Creation department (e.g. edit ratios, cost per finished hour of audio, size of VO talent pool, etc.) . Make sure all new talent has requisite forms (W9, New vendor Set-up. Directions, invoice, and contracts) as well as making sure they know how to submit forms, prep material, and follow our protocol. . Create new contracts for each project or title as applicable, get necessary signatures, and PDF to legal when completed. . Track session reports for all in-house recording . Compare narrator invoices with engineer session reports to make sure fees/hours are appropriate. Required Skills: . Two to five years experience working within a media production environment, or ad agency traffic department . At least two years of experience in project-flow management is required . Solid experience on both Mac and PC computers and familiarity with networked systems . Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills . Ability to manage multiple projects at once . Ability to handle rapidly changing scheduling on a daily basis
