A client of ours just outside Philadelphia is looking to bring on a Team Lead for their Web Development team. This team is comprised of UI Developers and core C# .NET Developers.
The Team Lead is responsible for managing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and on-going support of the corporation*s web enabled systems and ensuring that web technologies meet business objectives and are properly aligned with strategic objectives. The Team Lead also works to evaluate, recommend, and implement proper technical solutions to enhance business value of operations and to establish and maintain tactical plans that support the corporate strategic vision.
Major Responsibilities / Activities:
Provides leadership to web team resources in analysis, design, development, implementation, and on-going support and enhancements of the corporation*s web enabled systems. 60% leadership/40% hands on.
Leads a web team in accomplishing web projects and development initiatives through their defined lifecycle process phases i.e. concept, design, development, implementation, and operation and support.
Attains and maintains in-depth knowledge of web systems principles, functions, and technologies to effectively lead web resources.
Monitors and controls the volume and severity of system problems. Proactively ensures integrity and uptime of assigned systems.
Ensures assigned web development task deployments meet business objectives.
Monitors and assigns system development and enhancement tasks to team members appropriately to ensure maximum efficiency and adequate completion while delivering web solutions.
Maintains the master web development team resource allocation plan on a continual basis
Establishes and maintains benchmarks and reports performance/statuses on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis
Requirements Job-Specific Requirements:
Must have demonstrated at least 3 years of management skills with web projects staffed with at least 5 team members for websites that provide B2B and Direct to customer interfaces.
In-depth knowledge of Web Technologies, Object Oriented Methodologies and the use of Service Oriented Architecture is required.
Experience with C#, Asp.net 2.0 and 3.5, IIS 6.0 and 7.0, SOA, XML, MSSQL, Team Foundation Server and Framework Design Patterns is required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills are required.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of MS Sharepoint Development, Online Payment Systems, Content Management Integration and Web Analytics is preferred.
Knowledge and use of Portal Platforms, Portlet Technology, JSR168&286, LifeRay, WebSphere is desirable.
