Supply Chain Consultant – North America

Our client is a worldwide supply chain consulting organization that teams with companies to optimize their current supply chain resources by introducing cost reduction initiatives, increased quality, and on time deliveries of mission critical components and services.   The successful candidate will work with client companies across North America in a collaborative fashion with the in house supply chain, engineering, vendors, marketing, finance, and the like. 

The following key skill set attributes are required in the role of the consultant:
Solid background in Supply Chain to include Materials Management, Procurement, Supplier Development and Management, Contract Verbiage and Metrics, Strong negotiation, Strategic Domestic and International Sourcing, Supplier Certification, Communication Skills, and team dynamics.  Familiar with E-Sourcing, Commodity Management that includes Electronics including components-PCB and cable assemblies, Metal Fabrication, Machined Components, Raw Materials.  Supply Chain familiarity across industries such as Aerospace, Electronics, Metal Fabrication, Machining, Energy, A&E, and Capital Equipment. 

Required:  A BA or BS with a background in Supply Chain; candidate must have a strong procurement background and has buy responsibility in the $100 million plus area within the aforementioned industries.  APICS or ISM certification although not required is a major plus.  Since this position is split between virtual and customer sites you must have the ability to travel within North America.  There will be some international travel, but that would be limited to about 14 days per year.  The preferred candidate location would be areas within the Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast that are in close proximity to an airport hub facilitating easy travel around the United States.   A competitive compensation package is offered.  Please submit your resume and summary of credentials as it pertains to this position to:
