Title: Techno- Functional BSA Location: Wilmington, DE Length: Contract- HIre Rate: DOE
A client of ours in the Wilmington DE area is looking to bring on 2 BSA's with both technical and functional experience. The keys to this job are strong requirements elicitation skills (and thus exceptional communication skills); real exp. in an Agile/Scrum environment; and exceptional documentation skills.
Project Details: BSA will meet with business users, interview them and elicit requirements for the application our client is developing. The BSA will transfer this gathered information into "Story points" which the Scrum team will then prioritize to give to the developers. The developers will take this information to create technical specifications documents. Agile/Scrum knowledge is therefore very important. Candidates need to have previous experience developing BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), white papers, JAD Sessions, GAP analysis, Prototypes; Visio flow diagrams etc. Candidates need to have contributed directly to the BRDs, not someone who was given one and then worked with it on a project. Candidates need to understand business requirements, know how systems work and write documents to explain this.
Responsibilities: Partnering with the business in analysis of process and information needs to clearly identify and document project requirements for technology solutions. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, serving as the primary contact-point for the business to engage IT for solution analysis services. In addition to helping lead in the creation of analysis and requirements definition standards for the organization, the BSA will also specialize in a specific competency within Requirements Management or Business Systems Analysis and lead the ongoing improvement of that element within the team
Qualifications: At least 4 years combined technical and business analytical experience At least 1 year with Agile Dev Methodologies specifically Scrum preferred Experience creating and maintaining relationships with business contacts Experience documenting systems requirements with backlog stories preferred Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, IT-related preferred
Skills: Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple concurrent efforts Ability to conceptualize and think creatively Ability to be persuasive Ability to effectively translate between business and technical language Ability to lead and mentor a team Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment
