CSS Tec's client in Long Island City, NY is seeking a Sr. Marketing Analyst to join their team on a full-time, direct hire basis.
Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the role is to support the B&I team through analysis and tracking of marketing campaigns, strategic and tactical analysis of internal data, and applying business knowledge to drive key insight.
Under direction of the line manager specific sub purposes are:
Liaison with Business Partners to ascertain analysis requirements, interpreting and driving further insight through analysis, sharing insights and key learnings. Develop business requirements given existing knowledge of the customer through analysis of internal / external data Producing data analytics to support Customer Strategy, Medium Term Plan and Marketing Planning Process (P&L Campaign forecasting etc.) Produce campaign tracking and analysis on campaign effectiveness enabling feedback into Marketing Plan development / refinement
Main Accountabilities: Strategic Analysis, Modelling & Evaluation Use Data Analytics to improve the understanding of the Customers behaviours, and what their drivers and trends are. Produce data analysis and customer modelling to support internal customer requirements. Driving insight from internal data proactively challenging the data boundaries to shape the Customer Strategy, Medium Term Plan and Market Planning. Inputting into business cases and implementation plans for key business initiatives through provision of key analysis and customer data based insight.
Campaign Analysis and Support Supporting campaigns through on-going tracking, customer profiling, data counts, forecasting and bespoke evaluation. Provide interpretation of Campaign Analysis providing business insight around customer trends to support test and learn approach to campaigns in support of Marketing Plan
Business Liaison Liaise with key internal partners to understand and clarify tracking or analytics requirements Ensure tracking and key insights are shared with internal partners, and understood.
Technical Skills/ Competancies: Proven analytical ability including ability to interrogate large amounts of data and develop business modelling of customer behaviour Excellent communicator (oral and written) with the confidence and ability to deal on both technical and business fronts Proven ability to manage Tasks and Projects effectively, and to work effectively under pressure, delivering accurate results within tight deadlines. Proven Customer focus both internal and external Passionate and persuasive with an ability to extract key strategic insights to drive the business and push customer data insight to drive cutting edge findings through working with for example with UK Banking Strong analytical capability able to understand with commercial / financial impacts of Marketing actions Ability to constructively challenge ideas to build sound judgement Tenacity in obtaining data and information to enable full understanding of issues and challenges Logical, innovative, creative in generating options and ideas in a timely manner
Knowledge & Expertise Essential Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to interpret data findings into business insight Proven Experience in Base SAS Experience of SQL programming and working experience with Large Databases Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Preferred SAS Macro, SAS/Stats Predictive Modelling techniques (e.g. classification trees, CHAID, linear/logistic regression). Visual Basic / VBA programming
Experience/Qualifications Essential Minimum 2 years Relevant experience in a Data Analytics Role, preferably in the Financial Services Industry Well developed personal organisation and commercial acumen, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines. Communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven Time and Project Management skills
Preferred Relevant experience in the Marketing and CVM Functions within Financial Services Industry Good knowledge of the Commercial Cards, Credit Card, Acquiring or Payment Processing Market
