The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for performing all Quality Assurance Testing associated with web-based and client-based software. This hire will develop and execute the manual testing of web-based applications as well as create QA documentation.  Successful candidates will be very detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates should also be eager to learn and develop professionally. 
Responsibilities:
Develop test plans and procedures; execute test procedures; and analyze and document test results.
Report results in status reports, status meetings and problem/bug reporting utilities.
Handle issues related to the system development lifecycle, version control, configuration management, test suite design, test coverage, regression testing, system testing and acceptance testing.
Ensure that all potential issues are uncovered in a timely manner, sufficiently ahead of deadlines
Understand the impact of functionality changes and/or enhancements and the importance of release management
Guide and assist QA Analysts in QA testing projects.
Consistently develop, improve and maintain understanding of software, and educational software in general.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in quality assurance.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience in developing appropriate test documentation artifacts (e.g., test plans, manual testing/regression designs, defect reports, etc.) necessary to implement testing and communicating results.
Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
Solid knowledge of Mercury Tools such as Quality Center is a plus.
Ability to create SQL queries to perform data verification.
Understanding of permissions, passing parameters, caching, archiving, client-server architecture is needed.
Background working in the Software or Internet Industries focused on Educational solutions, technical experience in.NET technologies is a plus.
Experience with the Waterfall Methodology is a big plus.
