PB Operations ? Account Transition Funding Specialist

The Private Banking Account Transition Funding Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the transfer of new client accounts from external institutions.  The Funding Specialist will serve as the main communication point between the Account Transition Team and internal and external partners.  The Account Transition Funding Specialist is expected to understand the operational flow of the products supported in the group, while maintaining client focus.

The Funding Specialist should provide proactive personalized service, which meets or exceeds a clients time and quality expectations.  While combining their knowledge and skills with available technological tools, the Account Transition Funding Specialist will be expected to maintain a controlled environment while meeting the teams SLAs.

Functional Responsibilities:

* Respond promptly and accurately to client service requests/inquiries; foster positive relationships with client service and provide day-to-day satisfaction through personalized interaction * Communicate effectively and consistently throughout transfer progression * Monitor and respond to incoming requests (dedicated team telephone line, email group, inbox) * Review account transfer documents and interpret settlement requirements based upon asset types held within the account(s) * Maintain an effective network of internal and external contacts to improve the efficiency of the client account transfer process * Monitor client accounts for receipt of assets and reconcile accordingly * Review, monitor and instruct appropriate action to be taken with regards to daily fail/break reports * Adhere to various control policies to mitigate risk * Understand and react accordingly to downstream client impact of actions (i.e. statements, tax implications, etc.) * Ensure that accurate and updated information is provided in tracking database * Participate in stretch assignments as needed, such as department or line of business initiatives * Monitor service standards; analyze service versus the set criteria; recommend workflow improvements to better meet service objectives.  Look for opportunities to consolidate workflows to gain efficiencies for the group.

The Account Transition Funding Specialist is accountable for:

* All account fundings involving the Omni platform for the Private Bank * Responding to a full range of client requests or inquiries; prioritizing work load, and being cognizant of operational constraints * Quickly acting to resolve client issues in a time frame which exceeds client expectations, and informing the CSS, Banker or Relationship Team of issues which may affect the overall client relationship * Creating and contributing to an environment of cooperation through information exchange with peers, external contacts and client services. * Proactively focusing on client issues and adjusting rapidly to changes in client need, the market or organization.

Qualifications

* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment (e.g., introduction of a new product or work environment capabilities) and to utilize the tools which are available to service clients more efficiently * The capacity to work in high volume and high pressure situations * The ability to develop good relationships with and gain the confidence of internal clients (Client Services, Fiduciary, JPMWSS) and external parties (Custodians, brokers) * Strong analytical and problem solving skills to assist clients in resolving issues and improve overall servicing; strong knowledge of quality control techniques and the ability to analyze client accounts, activity, etc. to provide superior client service. * The skill to apply product/industry and operational knowledge to solve problems and meet client needs. * The ability to make strategic decision/recommendation for the process as it evolves. * Knowledge of primary Private Banking mainframe systems and PC based software including but not limited to TECS, Omnitrust, Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes * Securities operations or client servicing experienced preferred.
