Business Analyst/Project Manager with Insurance Underwriting

One of SGAs major clients in Florham Park, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst. Candidates for this role musthavesolid business knowledge with eitherProperty and Casualty or US Specialty and E&S lines of business. You will be working on reengineering an end to end insurance risk management application. Major Responsibilities Manage a cross-functional team of resources in the configuration and delivery of one or more Front Office underwriting modules. Team will be responsible for gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, developing product specifications, documenting workflows and otherwise producing artifacts necessary for configuration of U/W platform to meet the needs of specific lines of business. Working with Developers to assure specifications are understood and followed Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) Working with QA through testing and deployment of projects Customer support and guidance Compiling detailed documentation for everybody involved to be clear on the nature and scope of the item being worked on Issue resolution/escalation Project management of issues from start to deployment to Production Qualifications and Requirements: BA or BS degree A minimum of 7 years experience in the insurance industry with actual experience as a manager or lead business analyst Excellent knowledge of the P&C business and familiarity with a broad spectrum of Insurance applications Good understanding of underwriting processes Excellent team player with a proven background of individual contribution A track record of building strong relationships with clients and business partners Interpersonal, documentation, communication, and presentation skills Expertise in system development methodology, preferably RUP Ability to become a valued SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the system area supporting the business Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with project stakeholders Ability to excel in a fluid and changing environment Very good documentation skills Strong customer-service orientation Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Excellent listening and interpersonal skills Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
