Technical Engineer

Title: Technical Engineer Location: DE-New Castle * Responsible for providing well-written documentation for single-point test & repair as well as weekly, monthly and long-term investigation/activity with regard to all responsibilities. * Provides Failure Analysis & Repair reports for all components when requested. * Tracks Failure Trends and, in concert with suppliers, analyzes for reliability improvement. * Maintain tool inventory and generate request form for replacement tooling. * Maintain logs and reports for use and recapturing of Freon. * Work to provide repairs within currently accepted/authorized scope. Create or modify procedures to adjust or expand 'acceptance' as required. * Provide product development inputs on existing and future items treated. Inputs such as bills of materials, time study, improvements, potential suppliers, technical RFQ/RFP.Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager. This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may change, be added to or deleted from at any time. * Five years technical experience in HVAC and Chiller systems. * Five years experience in small appliance repair. * Certified to perform spot welding. * Licensed journeyman or master HVAC technicians. * Technical training on Chiller systems.
