This person manages the Blue Duck Tavern Restaurant. Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to, guest satisfaction, compliance with standards, recruiting and training of staff. Details include: * Train, supervise, counsel and discipline staff for the efficient operation of the department. * Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. * Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments. * Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. * Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. * Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings. * Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and act accordingly to ensure food quality and service standards are met. * Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency. * Ensure par stock levels are maintained. * Ensure maintenance of equipment. * Conduct competitive research and report trends and recommendations. * Support the entire Food and Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations and marketing. This person reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and is responsible for 5 million dollars in annual revenue. Manager will be responsible for 2 assistant managers, 1 supervisor, 25 servers, 6 server assistants, 7 greeters, 6 bartenders, 1 barback, and 1 administrative assistant and will provide additional operational support. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beer * Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of restaurant service * Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or a Restaurant Manager preferred * Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
