Vice President, Senior Negotiator

The mission of the CIB Legal Department of North America is to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient legal support to the CIB businesses. In this capacity, in matters concerning US or Canadian law or regulation, we are responsible for provision of legal advice to our clients, preparation and review of legal documentation, management of litigation and major law enforcement or regulatory investigations, and selection, supervision and control of outside counsel. The LTMG documentation team is primarily responsible for the preparation, structuring, and negotiation of legal documentation for all bank clients in North and South America across all product lines for BNPP, including both the Fixed Income and Equity Divisions. Responsibilities: Strong drafting and negotiating of documentation with outside institutional clients as well as advising business and RCM of deal related issues in connection with derivative transactions (e.g. repo agreements, ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Anenxes, Collateral Control Agreements) as well as related documentation (including confidentiality agreements, amendment agreements and guarantee forms) Maintain and update Beagel system (legal documentation database) Review constituency documents of capacity and authority approval and signature authorization Work on ad hoc projects as needed Manage ad hoc projects as required Qualifications 3+ years of law firm or in-house experience Experience in negotiating with asset managers Experience in client on-boarding Knowledge of ERISA and Mutual Fund Regulations Negotiation Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent organization skills Excellent interpersonal skills Work in ambiguity and under pressure, as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to prioritize workload, sense of urgency and attention to detail (time management) Work well in a fast paced environment Work across the organization as required and maintain high standards of professionalism in all dealings with team members and internal/external clients Extensive knowledge of ISDA Technical: Microsoft OS (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Lotus Notes Required: Bachelors Degree Preferred: JD Degree
