Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include: (1) Provide cost effective recommendations regarding OPSEC policy and procedures. (2) Assist in developing internal policy, regulations, directives, instructions based on current National Security Directives. (3) Assist the components Program Manager in incorporating OPSEC provisions in planning and executing special projects. (4) Conduct program briefings: attned working groups and meetings in support of the Security Program Staff. Requires BS/BA degree. Background, Knowledge and Experience Typically requires 5-8 years of experience. (1) Possess in-depth knowledge of OPSEC requirements. This includes knowledge of internal OPSEC issues. (2) At least three years of general experience and one year of specialized experience. General experience may be gained by attendance at government sponsored training and in on the job performance in either government or private sector positions. Specialized experience may be gained through analytical, decision making or supervisory functions in OPSEC arena. (3) The Specialist must have a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organization and management levels.
