As an Alternative Investment Accountant, you will be a part of PNC Global Investment Servicing, a fast-growing and leading provider of processing, technology and business solutions to the global investment industry. Through PNC Global Investment Servicing, PNC services 66 million shareholder accounts that together represent more than $2 trillion in assets. In this position, you will be based in the divisions Wilmington office. You will monitor market quotes against a number of criteria, and keep clients abreast of developments, verify accuracy of trade tickets to transactions, reconcile cash and portfolio balances to daily statements, match accrued income to ledger, and processing fund-related expenses. On a monthly basis, you will calculate fees and allocate net income to fund partners. The environment is fast-paced, and balances the routines imposed by regulation with the changing daily requirements of client hedge funds, custodians, and prime brokers. Those clients will rely upon you for speed, accuracy, responsiveness and steadiness under pressure, in order to manage multiple cycles of reporting and reconciliation. Your facility with numbers and accounting frameworks are critical, of course, but youll use and grow your client-management strengths, as well. PNC Global Investment Servicings commitment to industry leadership means your skills stay on the edge of industry practice Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics. * A minimum of 6 Accounting credits. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Hedge Fund and Private Equity experience a plus.
