We currently seek a reputable Vice-President of Operations to oversee and operate one of RAs most prestige clients, The World Bank. The ideal candidate will share in our belief in the quality value of delivering superior hospitality to our premier clients. The successful candidate should posses savvy business skills, be a highly motivated professional, with proven ability to establish excellent working relationship with various team members in a high-end establishment. Job Description Plans and directs 20M multi-unit, multi-cultural catering, cafe, dining room, retail and conference center operation, with 300 employees and 45 managers. Recipe to Succeed: * Plans objectives for business and ensures management is in compliance with corporate, people, client and financial goals. * Meets commitment to results for all areas of responsibilities. Including but not limited to: * Client Retention and Satisfaction * People Process and People MAP objectives * Financial Performance and Requirements * Regulatory Compliance * Safety and Health requirements * Purchasing Requirements * Production Systems * Retail and Marketing Programs * Supporting RA Values and actions as outlined in MVV * Directs business to achieve high performance as measured by the SOWs and company scorecard. * Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the employees, client, customer and RA /Compass organizations. * Specifically cultivates relationships with Senior Clients and employee population; * Identifies clients needs, communicates account progress and new Company programs to client; management team and staff. * Conducts and/or monitors customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys. * Visits clients and facilities regularly. Attends key meetings and functions to maintain visibility. * Delivers the corporate communications and priorities all team members and clients. * Builds an effective ? results achieving team as measured by a core competency rating of 3.5 or higher. * Communicates effectively with all team members, through conferences, individual consultation and committee participation. This includes telephone, written, and electronic communication. * Ensures that all direct reports take specific action (including corrective action) to pro-actively correct issues at all facilities that do not attain Client Satisfaction levels that are agreed upon with the client. * Develops and monitors budget and forecasts. Ensures that the financial performance meets Company and client forecasts; optimizes financial performance and operational productivity. * Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of RA and Compass as appropriate. * Ensures that Region Team members are performing their responsibilities effectively and takes action including corrective action as needed. * Ensures that audits are conducted at all facilities including but not limited to: * Financial and Contractual * Sanitation and Food Safety * Human Resources Yearly audit * CFE audits * Partners with HR teams and ensures operations are consistent and equitable in their administration of human resource policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and engagement programs that also support the preferred employer focus and talent management strategies for progressive growth of our employees ? Attract, Retain, Engage, Perform and Develop. * Prepares and conducts performance appraisals, and reviews and approves performance appraisals completed by subordinates. Attends review committee and prepares for succession planning. * Recruits and trains subordinate positions. Develops and coaches management associates to meet staffing needs and talent management programs, as well as to ensure optimum utilization of region associates, while reducing turnover while not sacrificing quality. * Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines. * Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact. * Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs job safely. * All other duties as assigned. Necessary Ingredients: Education and Experience: B.S. Degree, plus ten (10+) years of progressive food service management experience, 5+years experience in a client multi-unit setting preferred. Possess a demonstrated participatory management style with strong business savvy. Language Skills: Bilingual , Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
