Description: - Chef Manager - Baltimore, MD (52960) Job Description Chef Manager - Baltimore, MD-52960 Description As a Chef Manager you will plan, direct and coordinate the activities of production employees in order to prepare and deliver a finished food product to multiple serving areas for consumption at a healthcare facility located in Baltimore, MD.. You will also be responsible for safety, kitchen sanitation and food safety, as well as monitoring inventory and managing catering. The Chef Manager manages the kitchen operations mostly days with a variable shift and works occassional weekends. Maintains food production records and plans and costs menus. Directly supervises two or more employees with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases. Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree or related culinary degree with 2+ years of supervisory experience in contract/institutional food preparation and service areas. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Solid food supervisory skills, organizational skill and time management skills are required. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is essential in this role. Healthcare experience is preferred.
