Metadata Specialist

Key Role: Serve as a metadata specialist assisting the Web Support Services and Operations Team. Review, analyze, and provide in-depth advice and recommendations concerning metadata tasks and activities. Identify deficiencies and opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness and propose new policies, practices, procedures, and methodologies. Manage multiple projects efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet aggressive deadlines. Work with federal government counterparts to ensure all work is within government regulations, policies, and guidelines. Work closely with the customer and support teams. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with systems analysis, systems programming, Web design, application programming, or equipment analysis

-1 year of experience with developing applications using advanced technologies, including Internet protocols or Web-based technology

-Experience with the intelligence community (IC) metadata standards, including IC-PUBS, IP for Information Resource Metadata HTML Encoding, IP for Information Resource Metadata XML Encoding, IP for Information Security Markings XML Encoding, IP for Intelligence Publications XML Encoding, and IC-ISM

-Experience with troubleshooting metadata issues

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-AA or AS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a team environment and operating independently, as necessary

-Experience with the IC or the Defense Intelligence Agency

-Knowledge of LNI publication standards

-Knowledge of the intelligence production life-cycle and dissemination processes

-Ability to work with analysts and refine digital production processes

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree
