Description: - Finance Manager - WWIT (OTH100F0) Job Description Finance Manager - WWIT-OTH100F0 Description As a member of the BD IT leadership team reporting to the CIO, this incumbent is responsible for leading the financial and analytical support for the WW IT Organization. These responsibilities include the preparation of Annual Budgets, quarterly reforecasts and the financial portion of IT Strategic plan, alignment of the capital budget with the IT Strategic plan, and analytical support of the portfolio management process. Accountable for the accuracy of the financial data supporting Capital expenditures in making sound management decisions. Responsible for the strategic direction and analytical support to the WW IT Organization to identify operating issues and opportunities to improve financial performance. Manage and analyze Capital and Expense Forecasts, ensure accurate budget projections for the IT Organization globally at the project, department and WW levels. Prepare financial models to be used to manage the IT portfolio and to quantify the impact of the IT Strategy. Emphasis will be on financial measures of risk and return. Provide general analytical support to the IT Organization, including financial support for sourcing decisions. Review and analyze capital appropriation requests and recommend appropriate action. Financial Lead for preparation of financial and business analysis or large project, CB2 and Project Registry entries. Also ensure that Global IT CB-2s are prepared in compliance with BD Corporate Policies, and tracked, reviewed for Finance approval and recommendation for CIO approval. Establish and implement accounting procedures and internal controls (i.e., SOXs), which provide for the proper protection of company assets and the accurate and timely reporting of assets, liabilities and financial results in compliance with GAAP and BD Company policies. As a member of the IT leadership team, this position is responsible for presenting Global IT financial data and metrics, including operating expenses, capital headcount, etc on a monthly basis WW IT Leadership team. Lead the tracking and analysis of Global Cost Productivity/Six Sigma initiatives (cost reductions) against WW ITs overall annual $6mm/3% goal. Manages, develops and coaches a staff of associates directly reporting into this position. Qualifications Ideal candidate must have at least 5 yo 10 years of Finance/Accounting experience, as well as a degree in Accounting/Finance, and an MBA is a plus. The incumbent must have an excellent understanding of financial evaluation techniques, excellent interpersonnal skills to be able to communicate with all levels of IT management on a worldwide basis, and must have between 5 to 10 years of diverse experience in a finance environment with exposure to operations, financial analysis, and general accounting with an indepth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, general and cost accounting and good working knowledge of GAAP. Knowledge of of capital budgeting, experience with developing presentations of complex financial information, and have a minimum of at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Proficiency with computer software programs (e.g, Excel, SAP, PowerPoint, Word, etc). Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
