Senior Sales Account Manager (12E) - Sterling VA

As a Senior Account Manager with Diebold, you will be responsible for the sale of integrated security systems and services to primary decision makers to government accounts. Selected candidate is expected to identify, create and pursue new sale and capture opportunities, cultivate and manage long-term relationships and participate as a member of account team on securing key and target customers.

Some essential functions of this position include:

* Sell security solutions persuasively, persistently and confidently to and government clients and manage multiple, ongoing projects * Actively listen, probe and identify concerns; understand the customers business and speak their language; and demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment * Seek out, target, and initiate contact with multiple accounts; develop network of contacts; observe checkpoints in the sales process that is buyer driven such as bid documents; and qualify and assess potential customers * Recommend solutions and link customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage * Positively and credibly influence system design and construction with contractors and consultants; frequently create competitive, high quality, and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis; and effectively write, present, and communicate solution sales opportunities * Solicit support from and communicate effectively with internal staff and own and facilitate the customer relationship * Target new customers based on security solutions market strategy

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

* Five or more years of successful field sales experience * Experience selling electronic security systems, integrated enterprise IT solutions or government industry experience * Excellent initiative * Excellent interpersonal communication skills * Demonstrated ability to influence the market at decision making levels

PREFERRED:

* Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification * Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification
