MySQL Database Developer

*Must be US Citizen.

Develop and support core ETL and database systems.  Design, develop and deliver components or libraries either within an established framework or as extensions to an established framework for mission-critical proprietary and 3rd party applications systems using knowledge of data modeling concepts and utilizing database development skills in a MySQL, 10g/Linux environment.

Employ software coding and database programming skills to business areas, monitoring status and functionality of systems and investigating, identifying and resolving user and application problems.  Responsible for resolving technical problems, collaborating with team members to develop best practices and technical solutions.

Strong understanding of relational databases including one or more of MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server.

Solid understanding of Logical and Physical modeling concepts and database tuning skills are required.

Experience with shell script programming; Perl preferred.

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

An understanding of Object Oriented development is a plus
