Incumbent is responsible to provide support and assistance to the Supported Employment and Long Term Follow-Along Program(s). REPORTS TO: Vocational Coordinator/Employment Specialist ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned. ? Assist in the implementation of Supported Employment services to include: Matching of requirements with clients abilities and interests that includes a systematic study of work environments and job task analyses, knowledge of client abilities and client performance on the job sites; Arranging interviews and facilitating placement into jobs consistent with the selected vocational goals; Providing intensive training at the job-site including understanding job requirements and appropriate behavior; Provide ongoing, on-site employment assistance including training in accepting and responding to supervision. ? Maintain required documentation and reports related to the program services and persons participating in the Supported Employment Program to include the Individual Work Plan (IWP), job development and job placement reports and monthly progress report. ? Work in collaboration with the Employment Specialist to ensure the appropriate and successful placement through the Supported Employment process. ? All other duties as assigned that supports the goals and objectives of the program. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (Required to perform essential functions) The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to successfully perform this job. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Degree with a minimum of 4 years current related and specialized experience in the field of supported employment/vocational training; demonstrated knowledge of an Individualized Work Plan (IWP), and job development/placement experience; or, Bachelors Degree in the social services or related field with related experience in a vocational, supported employment program; knowledge of IWP and job development/placement experience.
