Donor Bus Driver

Objective: Responsible for the transport of the Blood Donor Mobile Bus and donor center staff to all activities involving the bus. Also responsible, under supervision of the donor center technicians, for the on-board processing of donor units of blood: stripping and sealing tubing, storing units, transporting units. Responsible for monitoring donors post donation during their recovery phase. There is reasonable anticipation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant training preferred. Phlebotomy training a plus. Must have a current MD State commercial driver`s license (CDL), and maintain a driving record with no more than two points. Excellent customer service skills required. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain positive relationships with donors and hospital co-workers. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork necessary.
