Operate in the area of general accounting or other specialty areas. Coordinate strategy execution. Articulate goals, allocate resources, and manage workflow. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Provide guidance to investment portfolio and treasury personnel on appropriate application of the Companys accounting policies for new business initiatives and activities. Lead the analysis and reporting of GAAP results. Provide oversight and guidance to Capital Markets and Treasury personnel regarding the structuring and application of business and Sarbanes Oxley controls. Represent the unit as an expert or resource on all areas of GAAP to cross-functional project or coordinating teams. Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training. Qualifications EDUCATION Preferred Level Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Area of Study Accounting, Finance, or Economics Certifications CPA MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 10 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Detailed experience in accounting for levered investment management businesses, broker dealers, or large commercial banks. * Ability to simplify accounting into important themes for business partners, while also focused on the details when overseeing application of controls or accounting. * Able to work across with a broad cross section of organizations include finance, risk, treasury and capital markets.
