Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. May require a Bachelors degree in a related area and 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS: * Perform Business System Analyst tasks as required throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC). *Elicit and document both high-level and detailed business requirements. Document requirements using company standard document templates; suggestions for additional document artifacts are welcome. *Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements and specifications. Document requirements and specifications using company standard document templates; suggestions for additional document artifacts are welcome. . *Based on Business Requirements and Functional (and Non-Functional) Specs, the Business Systems Analyst and Systems Analyst / Web Architect will work together to perform Current State Technical Analysis and Gap Analysis. *High quality and quick turnaround time are expected and required. *Manage Change Request Process. *Defect Management: Coordinate testing activities in 5 environments. Perform and/or coordinate system, integration, stress and performance, functional, and UAT testing in higher environments as required/directed. *Provide weekly status reports. *Actively participate in project team meetings. *Promptly communicate issues and risks. *Other responsibilities as required. ****WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF WEBSPHERE PORTAL 6.x AND VIGNETTE CONTENT MANAGEMENT V7 IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.
